Long Post ALERT! ⚠️😉🔴 "Started From The Bottom Now We Here!" Much LOVE & RESPECT to my brothers from UXM. In 2008 we were all young kids trying to make it in this industry. I remember the days in Prime Gym, training hours and hours with these boys. No aircon, no proper first aid kits, but there was no fear. The chance that one day we would influence a Nation was enough to entice us to risk our lives stunt after stunt. 10 years have past and these boys are fine young men leading the action/entertainment scene. I thank you for standing by my side, when the rain poured on set. When the cops came, everyone stood their ground. This is something beyond race. When you create a bond, brotherhood is beyond colour and religion. Having done research on the 1964 race riots and hearing President Halimah Yacob speak about racial harmomy, it was a real challenge for me to explore this intense theme on film this day in age. UXM and I created online hype and call outs to garner interest for the series. As much as the racist insults and death threats I received from a few bad eggs weren't fun, I leaned something. I witnessed how cohesive the Malay community was. They stood by one another. They were such a strong community and as Chinese this is something I felt we could learn from. Thank you UXM, may you shine brighter than the stars. To more collabs between race and religions. To racial harmony. Keep Rockin' God Bless*
